Epsilon Developers is the trading name under which Satyam Kushwaha and Anurag Mahajan publish software. Correspondence, including formal legal notice, should be sent to the email address above. If your grievance concerns personal data and you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may complain to your national data protection authority instead.

Please include, so that we can act:

• your name and a contact address for our reply;
• a clear description of the grievance;
• where it concerns a specific map entry, the network name and city;
• where it concerns your own data, your install ID from Settings → About this app.

3 No Affiliation

References to third-party products, services, networks, venues and standards throughout the App and this site are nominative — they identify the thing being described. They do not imply any relationship, approval or partnership.

In particular:

• A venue appearing on the community map has not partnered with us, endorsed us, or necessarily consented to the listing. Venues can have an entry removed at any time through the Network Owner Removal page.
• Detecting or naming a router manufacturer from a MAC prefix implies no relationship with that manufacturer.
• Using Cloudflare's public measurement endpoints does not make us a Cloudflare partner or make our results Cloudflare's.
• Distribution through Google Play does not constitute Google's endorsement of the App.

4 Trademarks

All trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively under nominative fair use.

WiFi Map and Epsilon Developers, together with the App's logo, icon and design system, are marks of Satyam Kushwaha and Anurag Mahajan. You may not use them without permission, except to refer to the App itself.

If you own a mark used here and consider the use improper, write to us under §7 and we will address it.

The App's source code, user interface, design system, artwork, iconography, written copy, and the content of this website are protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution, adaptation or public communication without written permission is prohibited, except as permitted by law or by the licences of the App's open-source components.

Third-party open-source software incorporated into the App is used under its own licence terms, reproduced on the Open Source Licenses page. Those licences govern those components.

The three typefaces used in the App — Sora, Hanken Grotesk and JetBrains Mono — are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and remain the property of their designers.

Community map data

The community hotspot dataset is compiled from user contributions under the licence granted in Terms of Use §8.2. The compilation is ours; the underlying facts are not owned by anyone. Systematic extraction, scraping or reproduction of the dataset is prohibited under Terms of Use §7 and, where applicable, under database rights.

6 Disclaimers

6.1 Diagnostic tool, not a security product

WiFi Map is a diagnostic and discovery utility. It is not a security product, a penetration-testing suite, an intrusion detection system, or a substitute for professional network assessment. Its scores and recommendations are heuristic guidance, not a certification, an audit, or an assurance that a network is secure.

6.2 Measurements

Speed, latency, signal, coverage and congestion readings are best-effort measurements affected by your device, its radio, the access point, network conditions and the measurement endpoint. They are not certified instrumentation and should not be relied on as evidence in a dispute with an internet service provider or anyone else without independent corroboration. Detailed limitations are in Terms of Use §10.

6.3 Community data

Community map entries are contributed by users and are not verified by us before publication. We make no representation that any entry is accurate, current or lawful, that a listed network exists, is available, or may lawfully be used by you. A listing is not authorisation to connect. Deciding to use any network is your decision and your responsibility.

6.4 No professional advice

Nothing in the App or on this site is legal, security, regulatory or professional advice. The summaries of law on these pages are provided for orientation only, may be incomplete or out of date, and must not be relied on as a statement of your legal position. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

6.5 Third-party content

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party advertising, external websites reached from the App, venue captive portals, router administration interfaces, or the practices of any third party. Links are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.

6.6 Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Full warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability are in Terms of Use §§18–19 and apply in full to everything on this site.

7 Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content in the App or on this website infringes your copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, send a notice to contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz with the subject IP complaint — WiFi Map.

Please include

1. Identification of the right you own — the work, the mark, the registration number where one exists.
2. Identification of the material you say infringes it, precisely enough for us to find it: a screen in the App, a page on this site, or a specific map entry with its network name and city.
3. Your contact details — name, organisation if any, email, and a postal address.
4. A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
5. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.
6. Your signature, electronic or physical.

What we do

• Acknowledge within 72 hours.
• Review, and where the complaint is well-founded, remove or disable the material promptly.
• Notify the contributor where the material was user-generated, so they may respond.
• Restore material if a valid counter-notice establishes that the removal was mistaken.
• Act against repeat infringers, up to a permanent block.

What we can and cannot provide

It is worth setting expectations, because the architecture of the App limits what exists to be produced:

How we handle requests

• We require valid legal process appropriate to the jurisdiction — a court order, warrant, or a lawful statutory demand. We do not disclose data on an informal request.
• We disclose the minimum responsive to the request, and we object to requests that are overbroad, vague, or that appear not to be lawfully authorised.
• We notify the affected user where we can and where law does not prohibit it. Since there are no accounts, this is often not technically possible.
• We respond to emergency requests involving a credible risk to life expeditiously, without waiting for formal process.
• Requests concerning a Google Play purchase, advertising activity or Firebase analytics data must go to Google. We do not hold that data and cannot produce it.

9 Responsible Security Disclosure

If you have found a security vulnerability in the App, our backend, or this website, please tell us before telling anyone else.

What helps

Please do not

• Access, modify or delete data belonging to other users.
• Degrade the service, run volumetric or denial-of-service testing, or spam the contribution endpoint.
• Use social engineering, physical attacks, or target our infrastructure providers.
• Publish before we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix the issue.

We do not currently run a paid bug bounty. We will credit you in the release notes if you would like that, and we will not pursue legal action against anyone who reports in good faith within these guidelines.

10 Export Control & Sanctions

The App incorporates cryptographic functionality — TLS, AES-256, HMAC-SHA256 — of a kind that is standard and widely available, and it is distributed through Google Play, which applies its own export controls to distribution.

You may not use or export the App in contravention of any applicable export control or sanctions law, and you represent that you are not located in, or a national or resident of, a country or territory subject to a comprehensive embargo, and that you are not on any restricted-party list.

Local law in some countries restricts the use, import or export of cryptographic software. Complying with the law where you are is your responsibility.

11 EU & UK Notices

11.1 Point of contact

For the purposes of the EU Digital Services Act and equivalent UK requirements, our single point of contact for users, authorities and notice-and-action procedures is contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz. We accept communications in English.

11.2 Notice and action

Any person may notify us of content on the community map that they consider illegal, using the Network Owner Removal page, the in-app Report control, or the email address above. We acknowledge notices, act on them, and give reasons for our decision to the notifier and — where the content was user-generated — to the contributor. Our moderation process, response targets and appeal route are set out in the Community Guidelines.

11.3 Trader status

Epsilon Developers publishes the App as a trader through Google Play. Trader identity and contact information required by EU consumer law is displayed on the Google Play listing and reproduced in §1 of this page.

11.4 Online dispute resolution

Consumers in the EU may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme. We are not obliged to participate in, and have not committed to, any particular ADR body; we do engage directly with consumer complaints at the address above. Your rights before your national courts and consumer authorities are unaffected.

11.5 Data protection

We do not currently meet the thresholds requiring an EU or UK representative under Article 27 GDPR, as our processing of EEA and UK personal data is occasional and limited to the categories described in the Privacy Policy. Should that change, we will appoint one and name them here.

12 Accessibility

We aim to make the App and this website usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology.

• This site uses semantic HTML, skip links, keyboard-navigable controls, visible focus indicators and a colour palette chosen for contrast in both light and dark themes.
• The App respects the system text-scale setting within a clamped range, uses tabular figures so live values do not reflow mid-measurement, and does not rely on colour alone to convey signal quality or scores.
• We have not obtained a formal WCAG conformance certification.

If something is inaccessible to you, tell us at contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz. We treat accessibility defects as defects and fix them.

13 Language

The English text of these documents is the authoritative version. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and in the event of a discrepancy the English text prevails, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.

14 Governing Law

These notices, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the App or this website, are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction, and the consumer carve-outs that qualify it, are set out in Terms of Use §22.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.
